Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE)

Tier List Ranking Criteria

Every Mobile Suit in Gundam UCE has a specific role and type, and certain mobile suits are better at their roles than others. This is why we ranked the UR mobile suits in the game according to how good their stats are, how much damage their EX Skills cause, and whether or not their skills come with drawbacks or caveats.

This list was also made assuming that the players have a signature pilot that ensures the Mobile Suit's optimal performance.

Tier List Ranks Explained

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (68) This unit's EX Skill deals very high damage, on top of having superior stats. This MS not only excels at their intended role, but can also effectively deal with mobile suits that have a type advantage against it.
Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (69) This unit's EX Skill deals high damage, though not as high as SS-tier units. This MS excels at their intended role, and may also be relied upon to defend themselves against enemies with type advantages against them.
Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (70) Either this unit's EX Skill deals higher than average damage or is good to use when you are lacking units in the SS and S tiers. May or may not have one or two drawbacks that make it less useful compared to mobile suits in higher tiers.
Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (71) Average damage and stats. Use when you lack mobile suits in this role from higher tiers. Recommended to switch for higher-tier units when able.
Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (72) Below average damage and stats, or its EX Skill is not as damaging or as useful as those in higher tiers. Use of these units for this particular role is not recommended.

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0076] Banshee (NT-D) • The best thing about the Banshee (NT-D) is its ability to sustain itself in battle. Even at low investment, the Banshee (NT-D) gives itself an ATK buff on top of a self-heal that restores around half its HP.
• At full investment, the Banshee (NT-D) gets HP absorb, which means the more damage it deals to enemies, the more of its HP is restored, on top of a Max HP buff. Equipping it with modules that increase its critical rate and the right pilots will make it a tanky DPS powerhouse.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0100] Hyaku Shiki • The Hyaku-Shiki's main attraction is its ability to inflict the "Unavoidable" debuff on its enemies with its EX Skill. Not only does this stop the enemy from dodging attacks for six seconds, but certain mobile suits (like the Hamma-Hamma) do extra damage or debuffs to enemies with this debuff, making the Hyaku-Shiki a good support unit as well.
• The Hyaku-Shiki's drawback is that it gets a DEF debuff for 20 seconds after using its EX Skill, making it more vulnerable to counterattacks.
[M0033] Gundam (THE ORIGIN) • Gundam (THE ORIGIN)'s EX Skill inflicts the 'unavoidable' debuff on its target. This means, for 8 seconds, an enemy won't be able to evade any attacks, making them easy to wallop with the Gundam's melee strikes. • At full investment, the Gundam (THE ORIGIN) gets a buff to its Strong Beam Saber attack on top of a 25% Evasion buff.
[M0112] Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II • A potential executioner who can move fast around the battlefield Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II needs good modules at low investment and becomes a decent unit at full investment.
• Fully investing in Matsunaga's High Mobility Zaku II gives it a 25% evasion buff, a 50% movement speed buff at the start of the battle, and the Strong Giant Bazooka attack.
[M0211] Byarlant Custom • A potential anti-evasion mobile suit because of its ability to buff its own accuracy, the Byarlant Custom can fire from afar before getting in close and doing away with the enemy while evading any counter-attacks.
• At full investment, it gets a 33% evasion buff once its HP drops below 40%, increasing its survivability.
[M0016] Char's Zaku II • A great starting raid unit because of its EX Skill, which deals a 7-second stun against anyone unlucky enough to get hit by it.
• Char's Zaku II also gets movement speed and projectile damage buffs every time it gets to evade, which stacks up to five times. This makes it great to equip the Zaku with modules that increase its Evasion.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0040] Hi-Nu Gundam • The Hi-Nu is an alright raid unit if you can build it. However, since it doesn't have any self-buffs for its ATK, Critical Rate, and Evasion, you'll need to fully invest in it and also equip it with the right modules.
• At full investment, the Hi-Nu gets an accuracy buff, 5 seconds of absolute evasion upon activating its EX Skill on top of a 20-second 50% evasion buff. It also gets a beam weapon damage buff.
[M0019] Sinanju • When fully invested in, the Sinanju's Evasion and Critical Rate buffs make it a deadly Raid unit in battle.
• When their EX Skill gets activated, the unit gets another 50% Critical Rate Buff for 20 seconds on top of an ATK buff, which gives it the ability to smash through enemies unfortunate enough to be too close.
• However, when not fully transcended, the Sinanju needs modules that boost its Critical Rate. Otherwise, it's a Raid unit that is too easily defeated to be useful.
[M0072] Nightingale • Though the Nightingale can be easily damaged just like the Sinanju, it is a deadly unit because of its EX Skill's AOE ability, as well as the damage buffs it grants to allies.
At full investment, it deals devastating melee attacks with its Beam Tomahawk due to its proximity damage buff.
[M0216] Berga-Dalas • While the Berga-Dalas itself isn't that big of a damage dealer, it's a good support to have for other, more powerful Raid units because its EX Skill gives them a 25% beam damage buff for 20 seconds. If they're also in the "High Mobility" category, they also get a 25% critical rate buff.
• At full investment, the Berga-Dalas gets an evasion buff as well as beam damage buffs that stack based on whether it evades an attack or not.
[M0077] Ple's Qubeley Mk-II • Another raid unit with a non-damaging EX Skill that can act as a support, Ple's Qubeley Mk-II makes all its enemies vulnerable to beam-based weapons, as well as buff the beam weapon damage of its allies for 20 seconds.
[M0046] Kampfer • The Kampfer is an alright Raid unit because of the continuous ATK damage from its EX Skill.
• The problem with this MS is it can die rather easily in battle, and its Transcendent Skill (at full investment) only gives an accuracy and damage boost, not an evasion boost or a boost to another skill that could increase its survivability.
[M0286] Sinanju Stein (NT Version) • The Sinanju Stein has the potential to be a potent attacker and debuffer, since its EX Skill inflicts the enemy it hits with 49% more damage taken, as well as an evasion debuff. It also gets a 50% critical rate buff.
• However, it suffers drawbacks similar to other mobile suits that get critical rate buffs: relatively weak armor, making them easy to take out unless they take out their enemies first.
[M0011] Banshee • Similar to the Banshee (NT-D), the Banshee is a capable Raid unit that can sustain itself with the healing it gets from its EX-Skill.
[M0252] Blue Destiny Unit-1 • Blue Destiny Unit-1's utility is limited because it specializes in taking down mobile suits with the "Newtype Machine" category. Its EX Skill deals massive damage to Newtype Machine-category units, while also giving it accuracy and beam damage buffs.
• For now, other Raid units do Blue Destiny Unit-1's job better, though it may become more useful over time once more "Newtype Machine" MSs come out in the future.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0176] Engage Zero with Booster • The Engage Zero with Booster is similar to the Hyaku Shiki and the Gundam (THE ORIGIN) in that it can inflict the "unavoidable", but has little else to differentiate it from those mobile suits.
• When fully invested, the Engage Zero with Booster gets an evasion buff, a fixed beam damage buff, as well as another beam damage buff that stacks whenever the Engage Zero manages to successfully evade.
[M0073] Narrative Gundam • The Narrative Gundam deals decent damage with its EX Skill and can give ATK buffs to its allies. However, the problem is that this buff is only limited to Red-type mobile suit allies.
• Fully investing in this unit only nets an additional damage buff for Red-type mobile suit allies, as well as a Third Weapon beam damage buff.
[M0127] Kampfer High Mobility Type • The Kampfer High Mobility Type can be useful against enemies that have the "Gundam-Type" category, with its additional ATK buff whenever it activates its EX Skill. But outside of that niche, it doesn't do anything that other raid units can with better damage and survivability.
[M0194] Gundam • This Gundam is less useful than the Gundam (THE ORIGIN) simply because it lacks the latter's "Unavoidable" debuff.
[M0181] Engage Gundam Booster • Just like the Narrative Gundam, the Engage Gundam Booster can buff the damage of its allies, but only those with the "Gundam-Type" unit category. If you are not using that many Gundam-type units in your team in the first place, this buff will be of limited use to you.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0031] Gundam Mk-II (Titans) • Sadly, the Gundam Mk-II (Titans)'s EX Skill makes an enemy more vulnerable to beam weapons for 20 seconds, but aside from that it doesn't have much else to shine with.
• Even at full investment, its other most noteworthy ability is making an enemy more vulnerable to projectile damage.

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0236] Pale Rider (Space Type) • The Pale Rider (Space Type) has a niche in eliminating mobile suits with the "Newtype Machine" category. But unlike other mobile suits that fill niche roles like this, the Pale Rider also deals decent single-target damage, while being nigh-unhittable for 30 seconds when paired with the right pilot (such as Chloe Croce).
• A Pale Rider (Space Type) with a Level 5 Transcendence Skill gets another 50% evasion buff for 30 seconds on top of additional accuracy and damage against "Newtype Machines".
[M0052] Sazabi • The Sazabi's EX Skill makes it target the enemy with the highest HP, making it useful to whittle down tanky foes. It also makes that particular unit take 60% more beam damage for 20 seconds. If you happen to be running a team of Blue-type mobile suits, the Sazabi will also give its allies a damage buff.
[M0196] Hamma-Hamma • The Hamma-Hamma is a great Generic-type mobile suit because its AoE EX Skill works well with other mobile suits that cause debuffs like Stun and Unavoidable. Pairing it with Gundam (The Origin) or the Hyaku Shiki, as well as the right pilot, will make it a damage powerhouse.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0079] Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) • The Unicorn Gundam (NT-D) is a good attacker whose EX Skill bypasses an enemy's defense, on top of a 60% Critical Rate buff for 20 seconds afterward.
When paired with the right pilot such as Banagher Links, it gets Critical Rate, Critical ATK, reaction, and ranged sense buffs.
[M0086] Zeta Gundam • The Zeta Gundam is a melee powerhouse with its EX Skill capable of bypassing the defense of enemy mobile suits afflicted with the "Unavoidable," debuff, making it perfect to pair with mobile suits like the Hyaku-Shiki.
• However, there are mobile suits made specifically to counter the Zeta and other "Newtype Machine" mobile suits like the Blue Destiny Unit-1, limiting the Zeta's usefulness.
[M0123] Gundam GP04 • The Gundam GP04 is a medium-range attacker that should keep its distance from the main fight, only attacking with its long-range rifle.
• Its EX Skill targets the enemy with the highest HP and makes them take 50% more damage from beam weapons for 20 seconds, allowing your allies to pile on more damage.
• At full transcendence, it gets accuracy and beam damage buffs, but not much else.
[M0030] Gundam GP01Fb • A good support mobile suit for evasion-focused teams, the Gundam GP01Fb is a great fit since its EX Skill increases the evasion of all allies for 20 seconds. If they happen to have the "Delaz Conflict", they also get healed.
[M0047] Psycommu System Zaku • The Psycommu System Zaku makes a single enemy's beam and projectile attacks cause 50% less damage for 20 seconds.
• It's much better as a fully upgraded unit since it gets more beam and projectile weapon damage cuts, as well as a 25% max HP cut, though at the expense of a 36% accuracy debuff.
[M0107] Full Armor Unicorn Gundam • The Full Armor Unicorn Gundam may be a Generic type, but the buffs it grants to allies make it suitable for a defensive playstyle. Its EX Skill increases the beam and projectile damage resistance of its allies by 30% for 20 seconds.
• It shines much better as a unit when fully transcended, as it gains a 5.8% beam damage buff every time it deals damage, which is stackable for up to 10 times .
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0039] Nu Gundam • The Nu Gundam, for all its rarity, is a rather unremarkable unit. However, its EX Skill does heal 22% HP of all its allies.
• At full investment, it gets accuracy and beam damage buffs for its third weapon, as well as a slight beam damage buff whenever it damages an enemy unit (which stacks up to 10 times).
[M0070] Delta Plus • Could be good to bring along when you're facing enemies that evade attacks too often, since its EX Skill gives a party-wide accuracy boost for 20 seconds regardless of what mobile suit type or category they are.
[M0080] Re-GZ • A supporting mobile suit that does best in a team made up mostly of "Blue"-type mobile suits, since its EX skill boosts the damage of Blue-type mobile suit allies for 20 seconds.
• Fully investing in the Re-GZ gets another damage buff for Blue-type mobile suit allies whenever the EX skill is activated.
[M0065] Char's Zaku II (THE ORIGIN) • It's the Char's Zaku II MSG version but without the stun. Instead of getting stunned, enemies instead get a movement speed reduction and take 50% more damage from projectile weapons for 20 seconds.
• Much better to use when fully transcended, as it gets a 25% evasion buff and an additional 50% evasion boost as long as its HP is at 100%.
[M0087] Victory Gundam • Though its EX Skill deals particularly high damage, the Victory Gundam doesn't have any other features such as buffs or healing for allies, or even self-buffs for its attack. If you want to use it, you'll need to get other mobile suits that can support it as well as the right pilot.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0131] Zaku I (Char) • Good in the early game if you have nothing but Zaku-type mobile suits in your party, since Char's Zaku I increases their damage by 22% with its EX Skill.
[M0044] Gundam GP01 • A supporting mobile suit whose only notable feature is an 18% HP heal for all "Ground"-type mobile suit allies.
[M0034] Gundam • The Gundam (MSG version) might be good to bring along if you have mostly "Green"-type allies, as it increases their damage by 25% with its EX Skill. Other than that, however, it doesn't have other features that stand out.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0009] Unicorn Gundam • Its EX Skill deals rather paltry damage on top of its damage buff being limited to "Psycho-Frame Type" unit category allies. Even at full investment, all it gets is increased damage and accuracy, while other Unicorn variants have more utility.

Sniper

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (123)

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0214] Zaku I with Big Gun (Thunderbolt) • As long as it's protected from Raid-type mobile suits, the Zaku I with Big Gun can act as a deadly executioner with its EX Skill targeting enemies with the lowest HP.
• At full investment, it gets a beam weapon damage buff, an accuracy buff, and a nearly full EX gauge.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0183] Sisquiede Titans Color • The Sisquiede is a strong sniper unit that is only outranked by the Zaku I with Big Gun due to the latter being more easily obtainable by players.
• Its EX Skill hits all enemies while debuffing their beam damage for 20 seconds, as well as buffing the Sisquiede's own resistance to beam damage.
• Its level 5 Transcendent Skill increases its accuracy by up to 70% as long as its HP remains above 80%. It also gets a 140% beam damage buff every time it activates its EX Skill.

Armored

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (126)

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (127)

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0010] Gundam Full Armor (Thunderbolt) • The Gundam Full Armor is both a decent attacker and a good tank with its 50% DEF buff that lasts for 20 seconds.
• Fully investing in the Gundam Full Armor gets it a 50% DEF buff at the start of the battle, as well as a beam damage buff, making it even tougher to defeat.
[M0122] Gundam GP02A • The GP02A's atomic bazooka deals heavy damage to all enemies on the battlefield. Even if it comes at a cost of getting the "unavoidable" debuff for 20 seconds, it has enough HP and DEF to survive.
• Its level 5 Transcendent Skill boosts everything good about this unit - from a max HP buff, a damage resistance buff, an EX Skill damage buff, to a max damage buff.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0117] Gato's Rick Dom • Gato's Rick Dom acts as a good tank because its EX Skill restores its own HP four times over 20 seconds. It also deals good damage against single targets.
• Fully investing in this unit buffs its HP and the damage dealt by its beam bazooka.

Bombardment

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (132)

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (133)

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0239] S Gundam • The S Gundam is one of the best Bombardment units in the game at present because of its ability to buff its critical rate right after activating its EX Skill. When paired with the right pilot (such as Roux Louka), its range and accuracy also increase.
• A fully Transcendent S Gundam gets a 25% accuracy buff, as well as a 36% critical ATK buff.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0129] Psycho Zaku • The Psycho Zaku can be a good anti "Gundam-type" unit that also does its role as a bombardment unit well. When paired with the right pilot, such as Daryl Lorenz, this unit gains accuracy and ranged sense buffs whenever an ally is defeated.
Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0103] G-3 Gundam • The G-3 Gundam is an alright bombardment unit if you happen to have it, but its main ability trades HP to deal damage to the nearest enemies, while not having abilities that allow it to sustain itself like healing. Since its EX Skill needs this MS to approach enemies to deal damage, there's a good chance that the G-3 will just get taken out very quickly.

Support

Best Mobile Suit Tier List (PvE) [May 2024] | Gundam UC Engage|Game8 (137)

Mobile Suit Tier Placement Reasoning
[M0238] Gundam Ez8 • The Gundam Ez8 is terrific to pair with the S Gundam and other Bombardment units beacuse of the Critical ATK buffs it grants them.
• However, it is only the top of this tier list by the virtue of being the sole Support mobile suit in the game so far. Its limitations include low performance in Space, use of projectile weaponry, and the lack of Bombardment units in the game at the time it was released.
